(I) Role & Responsibilities (a) Report to department Head. (b) Manage UWC PDD's NPI Sections to achieve defined objectives. (c) Ensure operation of UWC PDD's NPI Section comply with departmental & company policies and SOPs (d) Planning, co-ordination and allocation of resources to project and order assigned. (e) Monitoring of project progress in order to fulfil project schedule and customer requirement (f) Ensure availability and reliability of project/order file such as technical document, specification, BOM etc. (g) Authorize work drawing and engineering change. (h) Drive cost reduction through engineering improvement activity such as DFM, Lean manufacturing, kaizen etc. (i) Perform and prepare FMEA study upon request (j) Identify annual training needs for subordinates and submit TNA to HR for training planning. (k) Conduct training effectiveness evaluation for subordinates who attended training course. (l) Ensure reliability and availability of technical document and the specification. (m) Maintain good housekeeping and 5S. (n) Maintain consistent application of company policies, procedures and shop floor rules. (o) Adhere to all application Occupational Safety and health laws and regulation as well as such standards, practices and procedures instituted by the Company. (p) Participate in Cross Functional Team analysis and problem solving. (q) Technical focal to appointed Customer. (r) Any other responsibility which may be assigned from time to time by immediate superior/Department Head. (s) Any other responsibility which may be assigned from time to time by HOD, General Manager or Directors. (II) Communication Window for following customers (a) Lam Research Sheet Metal Commodity (b) Lam Research Mechatronic Commodity (c) Lam Research Metal Machining Commodity (III) People Management Managing 2 NPI teams with 12 NPI engineers.
Responsibilities & duties: (a) Liaison between production, NPI, NPD, test development & engineering (sustaining) in technologies related tools, jigs & fixtures as well as appropriate mechanization for material handling & assembly operations. (b) Develop new equipment for value creation & new product introduction. (c) Coordinate design phases & project scheduling. (d) Perform design review with internal requestor. (e) Perform design review with vendor on out sourcing fixture. (f) Drive tooling & fixture design for better manufacturability. (g) Actively involved in designing jigs and fixtures to ensure time delivery. (h) Perform design documentation compliance to ISO standard. (i) Provide technical expertise to assist in evaluate, verify, analyze & solve problem for current & new equipment & process. (j) Responsible for monitoring project expenses, on time delivery & design. (k) Support equipment engineering in troubleshooting the new release equipment. (l) Conduct training to equipment engineering and production personnel for effective of sustaining of new equipment. Responsibilities: (a) Provide mechanical design, technical analysis & solution for engineering problems. (b) Ensure all projects meet customers' specification & expectations. (c) Mechanical structural analysis, sourcing & costing of components. (d) Ensure all related documents are established and maintained for future references. (e) Ensure projects on schedule. (f) Ensure internally generated drawing are well controlled & updated. Duties: (a) Produce, develop, perform detail analytical calculation, prepare detail drawings & submit documentation in regards to the Part 16 and Part 18 lifts for compliance with Australian Standards for various models of traction & hydraulic home elevators. (b) Provide direction and coordination to engineers in order to complete design. (d) Ensure product designs meet with manufacturing & product quality requirement. (e) Drive project design activities to meet customer requirement & exceed customer expectations. (f) Prepare detail design by generation of 3D CAD, detailed drawings & specification. (g) Develop, verify & design. (h) Review & evaluate the product drawing and specification as well conduct feasibility study for both design and manufacturing technology. (g) Liaise & support on technical design related issues. Involved in designing following elevators: (a) Traction home elevator (machine below) (b) Traction home elevator (machine above) (c) Hydraulic home elevator (d) Hydraulic goods elevator (e) Traction vehicle elevator
Responsibilities: (a) Ensure projects meet customers' specification & expectations. (b) Ensure proper procedures are followed to accomplish quality and reliable design. (c) Ensure all related documents are established and maintained for future references. (d) Ensure projects are on schedule. (e) Ensure internally generated drawings are well controlled and updated. (f) Ensure customer-supplied products are well kept and controlled. Duties: (a) To handle projects that are assigned by department head or director which includes the following activities: - Design, assemble, debug and service projects. - Conduct internal as well as customer design review & meeting. - Update all assembly & part drawings. - Perform machine buy-off and installation. - Source and purchase of standard components. - Prepare project reports & machine operation manual & other related documents upon completion of projects. - Coordinate, monitor & follow up the project status and perform corrective action until it is completed. (b) Collect customer products reference, testing & machine buy-off. (c) To perform any other duty as and may be assigned by management from time to time.
