Reservoir Characterization - Integrated Project Team. Team under direction of Dr. Ronald Nelson. Focused on liquid rich resource plays. Reservoir modeling of unconventional fractured reservoirs, characterization of matrix and fracture components of dual porosity systems. Type II fractured reservoir. Lead Reservoir Geologist in the construction of detailed reservoir models implemented for new methodology to improve reserve booking and the identification of best development scenarios for different areas in unconventional reservoirs. Robust geologic models tied to all available interdisciplinary data as input for type decline curve definition through history matching of cases for specific geologic scenarios. Based on the implementation of Discrete Fracture networks (DFN) used in simulation efforts for reserve evaluation, field optimization, and to high grade drilling locations and acreage. In conjunction with Reservoir Engineer, Petrophysicist, and Geophysicist, successfully completed study that changed prior practice of using single layer and single porosity models to new recommended workflow that incorporates dual porosity and multiple geo-mechanical layers for optimum reservoir characterization.
