I structure capital to go where it otherwise wouldn’t. Too often, the constraint isn’t capital—it’s how we structure it. As Head of Blended Finance at Oikocredit, I mobilise public and private capital into financial inclusion, climate and agri-SME sectors in frontier markets. My focus is on designing structures that shift risk-return dynamics and unlock investment at scale. Much of my work sits at the intersection of investors, donors and partners—aligning different objectives into solutions that are both impactful and commercially viable. I’m particularly interested in: – The effective use (and limits) of concessional capital – Scaling blended finance beyond pilot structures – Building investable pipelines in underserved markets Oikocredit manages over EUR 1 billion in impact investments across Africa, Asia and Latin America, spanning financial institutions, inclusive fintech, renewable energy and agribusiness. I share perspectives here on what works—and what doesn’t—in blended finance, and how capital can be deployed more effectively for impact. Always open to connecting with others working on innovative financing, partnerships and investment strategies. Outside of work: football, rugby, outdoor activities, and the occasional attempt to justify owning more guitars than strictly necessary.
