A seasoned software engineer, I've been through many a language, technology and approach, and have seen myself mostly as a backend developer, with the business logic preferably in C# and the database being relational and ideally SQL Server, followed by MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle. I'm always looking to embrace something new and broaden my horizon, learning something new and striving to have a skill more than last year. And if I'm not coding then I like a bit of wood working, tiny models as well as furniture-sized items, do a puzzle or spend time with our yellow lab.

Becrypt is a privately owned company that provides encryption solutions and security technology for mobile devices to governmental and other security conscious organisations. My role includes process automation, CRM extensions, product licensing, web server and CMS management, database administration (SQL Server and MySQL) and product development, utilising C#, PHP, HTML/JavaScript, T-SQL and C++.
D&S Business Solutions Ltd was a software consultancy partnership. We provided any or all parts of the life cycle of software products for customers in health care (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, DFID), executive search and recruitment (Odgers Berndtson), brokerage and finance (UVEST) and print media (Kwiksoft), in FoxPro, C# and SQL Server.
I was the owner of Softscript, a software consultancy based in Germany, working on large and small customer projects in insurance (Gothaer/IDG), air transport (SITA), business automation (Visicon), manufacturing (Lehbrink), pharmaceutical (Porta Coeli) and local authority (State of Rhineland-Palatinate).
