I’m an Electrical Engineer with an MBA degree. I've been working in Power Plant, Energy, Oil & Gas industrial turnkey EPC projects for 28 years with proven experiences in management of multidisciplinary teams as (electrical, mechanical, civil) & multifunctional teams as sales, offer, project execution & engineering in international environment. As Engineering & Project Manager (certified from Siemens), I completed more than 20 large sized projects with budgets from 2 million € to 3 billion € which were Gas Power Plants (Combined Cycle), Thermal Power Plants (Coal & Biomass), Geothermal, Hydro, Wind & Solar Power Plants in Turkey & on abroad as MENA & CIS Region. I also worked on very large Gas Production & Storage Projects. I’m good at using AutoCAD, Ms Project, Primavera & engineering design programs as ETAP, Sincal, Simaris, CTDim (electrical eng. design programs), Ceasar (mechanical) & Ideastatica (civil). In addition, I’ve deep experiences on interface engineering, specific international codes as IEC,IEEE,ANSI,API,NFPA,ASCE, ASME & HAZOP, SIL, 3D Model studies. I'm responsible for Gas and Combined Cycle Power Plant Projects.
I was responsible for Technical Office Management and Project Management of the energy projects (as Hacıhıdırlar Wind Power Plant, Tarsus 18 Feeders 380kV AIS switchyard).
North Marmara Silivri Underground Natural Gas Storage Project in Turkey (it is the ‘’Europe’s Largest Natural Gas Storage Facility’’ Project with a volume of 4,6 Billion Sm3), the aim of this mega project is to inject gas (in summer time_when cheaper) and withdraw it (in winter period_when required). We store %30 of our country’s gas needs, 2km below the seabed of Marmara Sea. I'm working as Head of Engineering Dept (overall Engineering Manager) and responsible for all engineering design; managing teams of mechanical, construction, electrical & instrumentation engineering. Project budget is around 1 Billion €. Our EPC project is consisting of two parts; as 1st part at onshore side which is including Gas Preparation Systems, Slug Catchers, Primary Separators, HP Condense Separators and also including Dehydrate Systems as Silica Gel Units with Wind Turbines (10MW) & Solar Panels for plant auxiliaries. Also, 5 pcs. of Siemens brand SGT-400 type Gas Turbines & Compressors are used for pressure arrangement of the plant pipelines. We have 2 * 2750kVA diesel generators for emergency cases and also, we have HV & LV Substations for the plant energy distribution as well as the other electromechanical (Fire Fighting Systems, CCTV, DCS, RMU, MCC Cubicles & 15MVA Transformers) infrastructure systems. Inlet Filters, Metering Units, Fuel Gas Packages, Gas Start-up Heaters, Gas Air Coolers are also used. At 2nd part offshore side; 2 pcs of Sea Platforms were constructed which included 18 gas wells in order to store & withdraw 4,6 Billion Sm3 gas 2km below the seabed, also subsea pipelines & MV cables were pulled between offshore platforms and onshore facilities. I’m arranging engineering & project management meetings, 3D Review meetings (AVEVA 3D), Risk Assessment Studies (Fire & Explosion), HAZID, HAZOP, Fire & Gas Mapping and SIL Studies with BOTAŞ & TPAO.
I worked as Engineering & Tendering Manager of the company for turnkey Mobility & Energy Projects as Gas Power Plants (Odaş Energy(174MW), Aksa Energy (470MW) & Cengiz Energy(240MW), Tashkent I&II Combined Cycle Power Plant Projects in Uzbekistan including HV AIS Substations (110kV&220kV)), Waste to Energy Projects, Thermal Power Plants (Rehabilitation of Yeniköy-Kemerköy Coal Fired & Biomass Thermal Power Plant_IC Ictas & Limak Energy), Wind (Yalova WPP_Fina Energy), Solar, Hydro-Electric Power Plants (Tedzani HEPP_Çalık Energy in Malavi & Gitaru HEPP in Kenya), Mobile GIS & AIS HV Substations (Iraq MoE Projects), 400kV HV GIS (Kardemir Haddecilik), 154kV HV AIS Substations (Hayrabolu ITM), MV & LV Substations in Turkey and on abroad as Uzbekistan, CIS, MEA and African countries. I managed the engineering team of Cement Factory (Aşkale Çimento) which is a turn-key electromechanical contracting projects. I also managed the engineering team of Mobility Projects such as Metro Lines (Gayrettepe-İstanbul Airport Lines, Kabatas-Mahmutbey Lines, Sabiha Gökçen Airport Lines) and High Speed Train Projects (Kayaş-Yerköy Lines). Generator Protection/Excitation Renovation Projects and also analyzing the transient effects of power plant on grid are in area of my expertise & experiences.
I worked as General Manager in Anelsis Engineering Company which is a group company of Anel Holding. Anelsis is also manufacturing Medium/Low Voltage Cubicles (Power Distribution Cubicles, Motor Control Centers, Automation & Signal Distribution Panels) as tailor made. Anelsis is Siemens, Alstom Mobility and Schneider LV Panel Manufacturing partner company. At that time, company was focusing on executing mainly Transportation (Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Ph.3 & Galataport), Mobility Projects (Alstom_Israel Tev Aviv & Qatar Red Metro Lines), High-rise Buildings (Ministry of Commerce & Tax Building of Azerbaijan), National Naval Defence Projects as Milgem (Milli Savaş Gemileri) and Solar Power Plants in Bulgaria.
