I have experience building automation and optimization frameworks in Python and SQL. I enjoy working on challenging problems that increase efficiency to save time and add value.
• Built infrastructure to schedule, crawl, ingest, process and store comp. intelligence data. • Took legacy scheduling systems reliant on monolithic SQL stored procedures and architected a modern, modular, micro service based scheduling system built on top of FastAPI pods orchestrated using Kubernetes and interfacing with Kafka streams. • Designed an API + streaming based service that supports ingestion of 100’s of millions of records per day, which became used by multiple other teams. This was built for a singular use case but became adopted by multiple teams due to its usefulness. • Led multiple projects from inception, to design, scoping and implementation and delivered the projects complete with unit, integration tests, monitoring, alerting + docs. • Trained and led an offshore team to be brought up to speed and own part of the tech stack • Participated in and led the winning teams in two separate company hackathons
• Developed an arbitrage based bot running on live cryptocurrency exchanges • Designed the multi-threaded logic for event driven modular operation which increased efficiency and simplified code maintenance • Created a self-healing production level algorithm which restarts itself in case of a network/server error or unexpected responses • Implemented the full API function calls for all exchanges used in the operation, both on websocket and authenticated feeds
• Tutored 30 different students in a dozen subject areas ranging from Calculus, Differential Equations, Statistics, multiple Physics and Economics courses, and Computer Science • Raised students grades by one to three grade levels by stressing the importance of thinking from first principles and understanding over memorization • Mentored students to increase their self confidence in their problem solving abilities
• Built fully autonomous reporting systems that generated automated excel workbooks and PowerPoint presentations using the python Pandas, xlsx, and pptx libraries. Made choropleth maps for geo-representation of data in the automated reports • Worked on optimization problems to improve the company's outgoing traffic distribution for maximal profitability • Wrote SQL queries to monitor and gather data for statistical analyses to look for signals that could generate more money or improve the product
