Almost all focused ion beam processing to date has been performed with focused gallium ion beams, thanks to the high brightness, high current and good reliability of the Liquid Metal Iion Sources. FIBs are nowadays indispensable tools for the semiconductor industry, in fields of application such as IC review and modification, TEM/STEM sample preparation, thin film head manufacturing, and even mass spectrometry. The field of ion beam induced processing, however, is so young that even for this “traditional” ion species, the limits of resolution and material purity have not been established. We have no idea what will happen when focused He beams or O beams or Xe beams are used: both the effect of different Z as well as the chemical influence of the species may have a large effect on the process. Certainly it may be expected that using noble gas ions, the contamination with the ion species will be reduced as compared to using Ga.
Main task was coordinating the capital projects, directed to rearrangement innovation and optimization of the deposits The projects are managed in all the steps, from budget assignment to realization. Main projects attended, settled and/or in progress: • products moving valve system rearrangement and motorization; • automation of the tankers load system upgrading; • upgrading of the automatic system for temperature and level management and control of the tank farm; • tankers load deposits unification and enlargement; • rearrangement of the oil pipeline connecting Naples petrol dock to the coast deposits.
