Vincent Hennessy (Vinny) is the fun accountant, and he wants to change the stigma of being in accounting. He thrives when it comes to meeting new people and getting the chance to work with them. Vinny also holds a master's degree in financial accounting from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and is currently a licensed CPA in the state of California. Since the fall of 2017, Vinny has been with Deloitte's Audit & Assurance practice in San Francisco where he has had the opportunity to work in various industries, including Broker/Dealers, Investment Management, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies, as well as Power & Utilities. In 2025, Vinny was promoted to Senior Manager while working in the Financial Services industry, specializing in investment management, including venture capital, private equity, real estate, and digital asset funds. He is also involved in recruiting efforts in San Francisco, and enjoys public speaking (including facilitating trainings), exercising, and reading books about personal growth.
Managed undergraduate students who help low-income individuals with tax controversies involving the IRS and California Franchise Tax Board. Promoted the Cal Poly LITC in order to educate the public on important tax issues and gain clientele.
Promoted the Orfalea College of Business and California Polytechnic State University by meeting and greeting parents, new and prospective students, industry representatives and VIPs from all over the world.
Selected for 3-day training program at Deloitte University in Westlake, Texas. Involved in client interaction, documenting work-papers, and audit procedures. Client base consisted of retail, energy, and e-commerce.
Assisted with budgeting and spending analysis while gaining experience utilizing QuickBooks, Intacct, and Excel. Worked with non-profit organizations such as the Yerba Buena Community Benefit District and the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation.
