I am an Advanced Rigger, Scaffolder, Crane Operator and Level 1 IRATA (1400 Hours)Rope Access Technician with +20 years on construction, commissioning, maintenance, shutdown and decommissioning projects in the offshore Construction and onshore oil and gas, marine,Mining and utilities sectors, and I have a previous 10 years as a carpenter on commercial and residential projects. I am highly skilled assembling, securing and inspecting advanced rigging and scaffolding systems, and using safe rope access methods when necessary to enable safe access to multiple job situations. Heavy lifts, and assist multi-discipline trade teams to install, commission, maintain or decommission SMP and subsea systems and equipment for offshore. Working onboard the Eastern WB400 (a MODU-certified heavy lift barge with a 300t main crane and 20t auxiliary crane) as an Advanced Rigger and Scaffolder, my core role duties included (but were not limited to): ► Assembling and securing advanced rigging and scaffolding systems, and using engineered rigging and scaffolding methods for safe decommissioning of 3 offshore tripod platforms, 6 monopods and subsea infrastructure (including mechanical and piping), as well as loading removed/decommissioned materials onto the Henderson Barge, and Permit to Work Recipient ► Working safely under site HSE and PTW systems, following all risk assessments and safe work instructions (e.g. JSA’s, JHA’s, Start Cards etc.), identifying and controlling hazards, and holding meaningful safety interactions (same for all roles above and below) ► Using heavy lift spreader bars, FSWR and soft slings, chains, shackles, tirfors, lever hoists, chain blocks, heavy lift beam clamps and beam trollies for safe lifting of heavy equipment, and assembling and dismantling tube and clip scaffolds ► Using various slinging techniques for dogging operations, and guiding crane operators during heavy lifts via clear and concise hand and radio communications (same for all cranes and rigging roles below).
