About

My broad interests in physics, mathematics, biology and chemistry were best expressed when I studied Chemistry at Utrecht University. During my studies I was chemical educated from small organic and inorganic molecules towards large biomolecules. Different research projects and exercises helped me to getting acquainted with all the basic analysis and synthesis practices. In the end I favour the small inorganic molecules and compounds. This in combination with the course on catalysis was something that I really liked during my studies. The master thesis on Bimetallic Catalysis at the Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis group was something that really challenged my knowledge on catalysis and developed new skills on research. Besides my studies, I spent much of my free time at student rowing club Orca, where I rowed fanatically. The drive and ambitions to develop myself in the lab but also more on a personal level in a boat on the water really appealed to me. The years of training and rowing races at different courses (inter)national against rowers of the same level taught me valuable information about what my strengths are and who I really want to become. I loved the challenge of wanting to go for something that can only be achieved if you really go for it and put aside all the unimportant things. It taught me that when I really want something, I am persistent and only stop when the goal is reached or when I can't go any further. As a result, I also learned to listen to myself and go for a healthier combination of work and sports. The internship as an Innovation Analyst at KPN and the role of Business Manager at TMC helped me develop more soft skills that help overcome challenges at customers. With the Master's in Science and Business Management, I want to combine my chemistry knowledge with business and become a master in setting up profitable and sustainable projects. I would like to stay abreast of new insights about chemistry and help companies use this to their advantage

  • Eurofins Analytico (Barneveld, Gelderland, Netherlands · On-site)
    • Team lead CL-AP
      Dec 2024 - Present · 1 yr 7 mos

I lead a small team of information analysts responsible for configuring and testing a new lab environment, CL-AP. In addition to monitoring our team's progress, I collaborate closely with the implementation team and lab managers to resolve any issues quickly. This ensures that customers can access their results within the expected timeframe. Additionally, I am focused on continuous improvement, seeking ways to enhance the quality of our configuration and testing processes. I work to minimize errors and, if they do occur, limit their impact.

    • Informatieanalist
      Apr 2024 - Present · 2 yrs 3 mos

Eurofins Analitico analyzes ground and water samples, focusing on substances such as metals and PFAS. A few years ago, Eurofins decided to transform their laboratory environment into a modernized version called CL-AP. As this new system operates differently from the previous one, there are numerous challenges to address during its configuration and implementation. As an information analyst, my role is to collaborate with lab users to determine how best to configure processes to meet their needs. It is also crucial to ensure that lab users recognize the added value of the new system. Since innovation can be challenging for many, the implementation must be as smooth as possible, with any issues proactively addressed to prevent disruptions.
