At Ernst & Young, I have been involved in a wide range of engagements ranging from traditional GI practice areas such as pricing, valuation and EPR to strategic business oriented engagements like M&A due diligence, remediation, risk management, strategic business expansions and market entries. Additionally, I've been involved in facilitating corporate strategy workshops, market simulation training, process improvements and improving business information flows. I have also been involved in a number of injury scheme engagements including the modelling COVID19 impacts, design of the MAA first party reform, estimating the cost impact of a number of proposed legislative changes/amendments and scheme analytics.
At Allianz, I was involved in providing advice and analytics support to assist product managers in making strategic product decisions across a number of line of businesses which including • Commercial (property/motor/marine/crop/PI/liability) • CTP Summary of Duties performed: • Product pricing and scheme performance review (top down, bottom up, utilising GLM and stochastic modelling), • Rate adequacy and impact system (PI/Liability, motor/property for commercial and domestic), • Reinsurance treaty renewals, Catastrophe and ARPC reporting, • Quarterly Reports and IBNR assumptions (long and short tail), • Profit Share and market analysis, • Competitor and market analysis, • Automating report processes (SAS and Excel macros). • Long tail valuation (CTP)
At LogicaCMG, I have worked in the areas of business analyst, software engineer, software support, and oracle database/UNIX server administrator. I was engaged in a number of large projects in the energy sector and was involved at different phases of projects which included planning, development, and delivery of software enhancements and critical fixes. Further, I was involved in the design and development of user acceptance tests. In addition, I was also involved with the training of new staff with regards to the electricity market. Summary of Duties performed: • Database design, maintenance and administration (oracle 9i), • Software design and development (c++, pl/sql, VB, python utilising SDLC), • Documentation (design and system specifications), unit testing • Server Maintenance (backup and general admin of UNIX servers).
