This email marks the beginning of a trusting collaboration with NASA that has now lasted several years. Our journey began in my father's garage in Mรผnsingen. My father, Ulrich, is a doctor and an avid ultrasound user from the very beginning. He was frustrated by how difficult it is to obtain important medical information without having to use invasive methods. A short time later, the first prototypes were built. The solutions at that time were still a far cry from what we have today, but the core of the idea had been implemented and could be tested by doctors. The initial results were phenomenal! ๐ง๐ต๐ฒn ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐ถ๐น ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ N๐๐ฆ๐. At first we thought it was a joke! But it was real - and NASA wanted to use our technology on astronauts in zero gravity. They often suffer from impaired vision and increased intracranial pressure, both of which are โmission criticalโ and potentially fatal. At that moment, we realized that our technology could help wherever fast, precise and gentle diagnoses are needed. What drives me is my father's vision: to give doctors a tool that allows them to understand what is happening in the body, unlike anything else out there. No more pricking, drilling and cutting.
