I'm an M.Sc. in Process Engineering with a passion for making things work better. Over the years, I have built extensive experience in the pulp and paper industry through various hands-on roles. My strength lies in focusing on details and continuous improvement in my assignments. I enjoy digging into the technical side of challenges and collaborating with others to turn good ideas into great results. Right now, I focus on managing and developing pressure screening equipment. That means everything from product sizing and testing new concepts to supporting sales, engineering and helping our customers get most out of our solutions.
I am responsible for development and management of various pressure screen equipment, specifically handling recycled fibers (RCF) and mechanical pulp (MP). Key Responsibilities: -Product development and sizing. Oversee the development and sizing of pressure screen equipment, ensuring they meet industry standards and client requirements. -Provide support to various stakeholders, including sales, project management, engineering and customers, related to pressure screens. -Participate in product development projects and laboratory trials. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the design, testing, and refinement of new products. Participate in trial runs to evaluate product performance and identify areas for improvement. -Product information management. Regularly update and maintain product information, including specifications, manuals, and other important documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
My task was to support product managers in their daily work. Areas of responsibility: - Participation in product development projects and trial runs - Updating of sizing and balance programs - Product information updating and up-keeping
I was responsible for quality, health, safety and environment (QHSE) system updating project. I was in charge of: -Updating quality documentation of my department -Deployment of new programs -Teaching quality oriented approach to daily work During this assignment I learned details of equipment delivery project and how each phase affect the end quality of a product.
The pulp mill shift supervisor was in charge of daily pulp mill operations and leading 25-person shift. My areas of responsibility: -Optimal production of the pulp mill -Daily human resource managing -Supervising that the product quality and safety meets the expectations. I learned a lot about the whole picture of pulp mill controlling and how all the departments are connected. I learned to supervise bigger concepts, prioritise tasks and gained experience in human resourcing.
My task was condition monitoring of pulp mill processes and machinery. My areas of responsibility: - Monitoring and filing of malfunctions and problems to SAP PM -program. - Preventive maintenance of machinery and instruments. - Preparing of different repair targets (by emptying tanks, safety lockout) and helping in them (for example, changing of motors). - Taking samples and handling of sodium chlorate dissolution. The work improved my skill to detect small details in form of malfunctions and problems. I was praised for my numerous service advices.
I worked as serviceman as part of the shift in purification plant in Kokkola zinc smelter. My job was to ensure that there was enough raw material to run the processes of purification plant. My areas of responsibility: - Taking care of the machinery and areas - Monitoring and operating of the sodium sulfide dissolving. - Controlling different types of overhead cranes - Driving forklift truck to carry raw material for processes. The work was very independent which made me responsible to schedule and prioritize the most important tasks at hand.
