Part of the Deal advisory practice, focusing on the Financial services sector. I support M&A transactions and Private equity clients with: 1) Commercial and financial due diligence services 2) Post merger integration strategy and management 3) Post deal monitoring and interim management support 4) Synergy assessment and business plan reviews I have also overseen several large post-merger integration engagements across diverse sectors, helping clients take control of the acquisition and in setting up an integrated operating model.

As the part of the Asia Pacific senior management team, my key responsibilities included: - Maximizing profitability of our Asia Pacific business through strategic analysis and performance reviews ‾ Developing corrective action plans for under-performing businesses ‾ Recommending a pricing strategy for each brand category, in light of the brand’s positioning and competitor pricing. ‾ Rationalizing and monitoring promotional schemes and discount structures. ‾ Identifying gross margin improvement opportunities on the back of data analysis ‾ Reviewing staff efficiency metrics to improve productivity - Evaluating alternate models to minimize staffing costs and other controllable overheads. - Identifying advertisement and visibility income opportunities across countries. - Assessing commercial feasibility of new business, JV and acquisition opportunities on the back of investment models
Compass, a Fortune 500 company is the world’s leading contract food services provider, generating annual revenues of US$ 25 billion across 50 countries. I was a part of Compass’s M&A and Strategy team and worked on corporate finance and strategy projects globally. My role involved: ‾ Acquiring companies, across various countries: Profiling emerging markets, evaluating acquisition opportunities and managing the end to end deal process. During my stint, I have worked on transactions in India, Russia, Brazil, UAE and the Nordics and had successfully closed out the three acquisitions. ‾ Project managing post deal integration of the acquired entities: Planning and program-managing the integration of acquired entities, focussing on resolution of pain points and post deal issues. In a number of instances, I had assumed a hands-on interim Finance Management position, responsible for ensuring that financial processes were in place, appropriate controls were maintained and reliable financial and operational information were produced. ‾ Developing and driving internal restructuring and growth strategy: Working on the internal restructuring of Compass’s portfolio of businesses and reorganising/disposing-off nonperforming businesses. As a consequence, I have project managed operational restructuring projects and developed country strategy papers for Compass’s businesses in India, China and the UAE.
Part of the Deal Advisory practice, supporting PEs and MNCs with financial DDs, primarily in the financial services sector. During this stint, I have worked on many multi-million dollar transactions and cross border transactions, involving a variety of transaction structures and valuation methodologies.
Product Manager - Treasury products for the NRI business working out of Singapore. Part of a team that managed a basket of 5 products. Profile involved monitoring product profitability, developing sales channels, liaising with operations and compliance. Prior to this, was with the Risk management team and focused on Anti-Money Laundering compliance and Business continuity for the consumer bank in India. In this role, I oversaw the implementation of Data analytical solution (one year technology project) that totally revamped anti-money laundering compliance monitoring in India. I also have an hands-on understanding of various operational processes of the consumer bank, thanks to my secondary role as the business continuity planning lead.
