Spearhead the creation of a data strategy for the bank to drive the transition from Silo’ed environment to a coherent governed approach, to reduce obsolete data stores and deliver an overall saving on operational expenses • Provided executive-level leadership for a multidisciplinary team of 80 people which included vendors and employees in an onshore/offshore model, • Championed establishment of a greenfield Enterprise Datawarehouse to meet all the regulatory requirements at the holding and bank level, including data modeling and a consistent expansion process. • Delivered $20M savings for the organization through the execution of key data virtualization tools of Denodo and elimination of disbursed data marts leading to inconsistent reporting. • Led the successful delivery of various programs and projects worth $20M per year spanning multiple Lines of Business • Enabled agile delivery and reduction in Capex by at least $1M/year through the integration of the development of multiple projects, eliminating 90% of data duplication and redundant processing • Headed operations on the EDW, AML Data mart, PowerCenter, data quality, data virtualization, MDM and Data modeling applications. • Drove a standardization of reference data; mastering of customer and collateral data using Informatica MDM. • Formulated a cloud strategy for expansion and planning for a migration; initiated cloud at customer platform as the first part of the roadmap. • Strengthened Chief Data Office functions by supporting and enhancing application landscape for data quality rule definitions and rule break resolutions, managing KPI’s, KDE’s, data dictionaries, technical lineage and associated glossaries, and defining a roadmap to enable enterprise-level data discovery and capturing contracts between various groups.
Steered a high-performance team of vendors and Business Analysts in the delivery of the CCAR platform with Moody’s RFO. Key Achievements: • Minimized the number of FTP's and operations costs through the implementation of company-wide file storage and distribution platform. • Led the merger of companywide ETL platform, increasing utilization by 200% and reducing operational cost by $1M/year while enhancing adoption of a standard tool. • Set up a standard BI suite of tools with Tableau being the primary. • Integrated the data for risk reporting and developed a credit risk data mart with a migration of 15 years of data.
Provided specialized consultancy service in determining challenges to data migration and existing approaches to project delivery. Analysed gaps and introduced a process to close gaps in coordination with the business. Key Achievements: • Supervised a successful delivery of large data migration of over 40 years’ worth of reinsurance data from five legacy systems to a single new application.
