Dr. hab. Vignesh Kumaravel boasts over a decade of extensive research and teaching expertise acquired at esteemed institutions across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. His remarkable contributions have earned him recognition, notably being listed among the world's top scientists. Further exemplifying his academic prowess, Dr. Kumaravel was recently conferred with a Habilitation (D.Sc.) in Chemical Sciences from the Lodz University of Technology, Poland. His research focuses on finding sustainable scientific solutions to real-life problems. He has developed novel materials and technologies in collaboration with eminent scientists from academia and industries. He has secured grants for various national and international collaboration research projects on the utilization of functional materials for energy, environment, and biomedical applications. The key findings of his research have been published in top-rated international peer-reviewed journals. He is an expert in business relations tailored to commercialize the outcomes of research with various industries. Promoting science is his passion, and he has actively engaged in activities that go beyond the laboratory. He regularly interacts with field experts by presenting the research outcomes at international conferences and meetings. Vignesh has significant experience in working with a wide range of experts, including scientists, engineers, and industry representatives, who have provided unique insights into the global materials and life sciences landscape. Currently, he is leading the International Centre for Research on Innovative Bio-based Materials (ICRI-BioM) at Lodz University of Technology, Poland. His Polymers & Biomaterials (PolyBioMat) group at the ICRI-BioM is addressing the most important global challenges in food safety, infectious diseases, GHG emissions, and energy crisis using novel functional nanomaterials in a sustainable way. PolyBioMat and ICRI-BioM inventions would assuredly support the development of a sustainable society with a green economy and environment.
