I am a dedicated Pre-Veterinary student at Nova Southeastern University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on animal care, veterinary medicine, and conservation. My journey in the veterinary field began at age 16 as a Veterinary Assistant in Maryland, where I gained foundational skills in animal handling, patient care, and client communication. Currently, I work in the Internal Medicine Department at an Emergency and Specialty Hospital for Animals in Davie, FL, where I thrive in a fast-paced environment and continue to build experience in critical and advanced veterinary care. In addition, I serve as a Critical Care Transportation Nurse with South Florida’s first emergency transport service, Pet Ambulance and Wellness Services (P.A.W.S. 911), providing specialized care for patients en route to life-saving treatment. Beyond clinical practice, I actively balance conservation efforts with seasonal work in the Broward County Sea Turtle Conservation Program, assisting in monitoring and protecting local nesting populations. I also volunteer with the Broward County Animal Care Center, where I foster neonatal kittens, assist in clinic, participate in free vaccine drives, support adoption efforts, and advocate for animal welfare. I hold a special passion for Pit Bulls, a breed I grew up with, worked alongside throughout my professional journey, and developed a deep lifelong love for. My connection to animals was shaped long before I ever stepped into a clinic. From early childhood through my teenage years, I spent countless hours tending to farm animals, raising horses, goats, sheep, and domesticated avian species. These daily responsibilities went beyond feeding and care as they taught me the patience of raising young, the diligence of medicating when illness struck, and the resilience required in large animal and aviary medicine. Those formative years instilled in me not only practical skills but also a deep-rooted respect and love for the creatures entrusted to me. It is this foundation that continues to guide my dedication to animal health, welfare, and advocacy today. With a strong commitment to veterinary medicine, conservation, and community outreach, I am eager to further develop my career while contributing meaningfully to both pets and their owners.
