Americorps Mission Statement: "To improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering." For this position, my coworkers and I worked at 4 different parks in the city of Fulton, NY. We had children ages 4-14 attend daily and each day we focused on a different fitness or nutrition activity. We also planned a community event. My job for the community event was to create a press release and a flyer. After the Fulton City Parks program ended, I created a member handbook for the program, and a tri-fold board to be displayed at future tabling events.
