About

I am currently a Third-Year Occupational Therapy undergraduate at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). In the final year of my diploma studies, I completed my Final-Year Project studying the microbial community within continuous and intermittent drinking water distribution systems and its impact on human health at NTU SCELSE. I had the opportunity to manage a pilot-scale testbed, and develop collaborative and critical-thinking skills. After graduation, I took up a full-time role as a Specialist Associate at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. I functioned in clinics and endoscopy rooms, for the screening and recruitment of participants for clinical research studies focusing on Colorectal and Gastric cancer detection. I enjoyed being a part of a healthcare team and the patient interaction it brought me, which motivated me to pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy. Upon graduation, I look towards being a certified Occupational Therapist, and being a part of my patients’ recovery journeys. My areas of expertise include: - Critical-thinking and problem-solving - Written and verbal communication - Collaborative - Detail-oriented - Proficiency in using technology
