Over the past 9 years in Malaysian banks, I’ve worked with software teams, AI vendors, and agile environments to turn ideas into practical solutions. I’m particularly interested in how technology shapes behaviour and influence the way people live, decide, and interact. I’m drawn to environments that challenge assumptions, move quickly, and build things that matter. As I grow, I’m focused on thinking more strategically, leading effectively, and contributing to high-impact work. In my spare time, I stay motivated through reading product development books, following tech talks/seminars and tech industry articles that are essential to improve my product and project management learning curve and to keep myself engage with the happenings in our technological world. I was given the opportunity by CIMB to be attached to Moneythor for three months as a Junior Product Manager as part of CIMB initiative to upskill employees in terms of digital knowledge and capabilities. This opportunity given me exposure to Moneythor's product management team and the freedom to innovate for retail and SME Banking Personal Financial Management features/ideas to help improve functionalities and the digital engagement of digital banking apps and websites.
Manufacturing project - Performed mergers and acquisition advisory, mainly focusing on buy-side advisory. - Created a proposal and pitch book to a Malaysian government community body (client company) that was used to win a project from the client on undertaking financial due diligence and tax due diligence on a local manufacturing company. Chemical project - Assisted in the financial due diligence process for a German client on the takeover of a Malaysian chemical company (target company). - Performed financial statements analysis and checks on the target company for the purpose of a takeover. - Build relationships with the key management of the target company to ensure the Q&A session of the due diligence process is conducted as efficiently and effectively as possible. - Assisted in the preparation of deals report by translating financial analysis in formats and terms understandable for the client. Pharmaceutical project - Constructed financial analysis based on raw financial data for a Malaysian pharmaceutical company (client company) that is proposing to undertake a takeover on another pharmaceutical company in Malaysia for the purpose of business expansion. Telecommunications project - Performed data extractions on a Vietnamese telecommunication company. - Conducted research on the source of revenue of the Vietnamese telecommunication company.
