I was a part-time social media coordinator for tech start up Lime&Tonic. One of the world's first digital concierge apps for your social life, Lime&Tonic is a platform that offers memorable dining experiences & unique activities. Responsible for all social media channels at Lime&Tonic, I liaised with city managers to design and implement our social media strategy which both increased sales and general awareness of the company. I also used it to reach out to journalists, research the latest events and industry trends, and provide a platform for feedback and quick customer service. Over 2 years, I built up our twitter accounts to have a combined following of over 75k and established a large online community of Lime&Tonic curators (mainly food bloggers, PRs and VIP customers). Similarly, we grew to over 50k fans on Facebook and over 200k newsletter subscribers worldwide. In Autumn 2014, I also took responsibility for the day-to-day management of ticketing for a 6 month pop-up dining event (over 8000 tickets) successfully looking after both client and customer service.
I co-founded and produced a weekly food programme called #InGoodTaste broadcast on ZoneOneRadio, the community radio station for central London. It gave me an opportunity to improve my knowledge of audio editing, recording, scripting and research skills. Launching in June 2012, #InGoodTaste was named in the top 50 cloudcasts of 2012 by Mixcloud. The show highlighted a different culinary theme each week ranging from current trends to classic, traditional culinary topics - all very focused on London. Contributors included leading food critics Jay Rayner, Charles Campion, Fay Maschler & Tracey Macleod and Michelin-starred chefs Tom Kitchen, Raymond Blanc & Michel Roux Jr.
For 5 months, I worked for a busy creative media production company in Shoreditch. I took sole responsibility for the bookings system, answering the telephone, promoting workshops on social media, research, organising hotel bookings, editing the company website and talent management. I edited video footage using Premiere Pro and was a teaching assistant for a weekly podcast course at Hackney Community College.
