About

I am a fourth-year medical student at Churchill College, University of Cambridge. I am currently undertaking a research placement in the Farooqi Lab at the IMS-MRL, where I will begin a PhD in October focusing on the role of the blood-brain barrier in obesity. I have graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in Pharmacology from Cambridge, ranking highest in college and second in my cohort. My final year research project was on Piezo2 mechanosensation (Smith’s Lab). Alongside my medical studies, I have been gaining research experience in vascular biology, in human (Wilkinson’s Lab) and animal models (Giussani’s Lab).
