Quest for Immortality: Hidden Treasures of Ancient Egypt: For this major international touring exhibition in partnership with United Exhibitions Group. I liaised with technicians, conservators and curators in delivering bespoke mounts and display items for numerous delicate artefacts. Precise measurement and communication were vital in bringing this project to fruition as packing and transport enforced a very tight deadline. The exhibition generated record numbers of visitors in Asia and received a Museum and Heritage award. Chadwick resource centre: Major collection store move over 18 months. I assumed the lead technician role sourcing technicians and supervising them in the specialised packaging technique devised with the conservator. This involving the cleaning and re-packing of objects and construction of bespoke supports for the industrial/social history collections off site. All objects were transported and re-housed at the new object storage facility. Also very large objects from the textile machinery collection such as the Dobson and Barlow Fine Spinning Mule had to be systematically dismantled in order to move them (following advice from industry experts) and re-assembled in the new building.
