• Protocol development and reviewing protocols to analyze the changes in spine morphology due to military operation condition • Document preparation for Institutional Review Board meeting • Designing of experiments to understand the changes in the morphology of lumbar and cervical spine muscles in military operating condition • Image processing (using MATLAB, Osirix, ImageJ, RadiAnt DICOM) of cervical and lumbar spine MRI • Statistical analysis (using R and SPSS) of the results • Manuscript writing, quarterly report preparation, grant preparation and presentation of results at leading clinical, engineering and military conferences • Mentored neurosurgeons and engineering students in their PhD and Masters thesis • Collaborated with neurosurgeons and engineers to develop research proposals for NIH, Department of Defense and other clinical societies
• Setting up of biomechanics lab, ordering equipment, applying for funding, biomechanics research, conference and workshop organizing • Developing grants working with spine surgeons, physiotherapists from ISIC and engineering faculties from IIT Delhi • The collaboration resulted in two funded grants from national and international funding agencies • Developed collaborative research with the medical device industry
