I care about making things easier for people, whether that's through clearer communication, better processes, smarter policies, or just a really well-run event. I'm drawn to early-stage environments where those things don't exist yet and you get to build them from scratch. I've been growing alongside Etched since the early days, picking things up fast across Ops and HR as the company scaled. I'm always looking to learn more, which is probably why my favorite startup mentality is: if you're looking around waiting for someone to own it, that someone is probably you.
Joined as an early employee and scaled alongside the company to 280+, onboarding every person who came after. Helped build people infrastructure from the ground up — took onboarding from "here's a laptop" to a full preboarding process, day one orientation, and 90-day culture and learning rollout. Took on ownership of the company's immigration program — managing active cases, leading counsel selection and migration, and designing company immigration policy from scratch. Planned and executed company events of all sizes, from small office celebrations to company-wide parties.
Organized bi-weekly cultural events for up to 50 attendees, focusing on Taiwanese traditions, cuisine, and arts. Planned and executed the annual “Night Market,” overseeing logistics, vendors, entertainment, and marketing for 350+ participants. Worked cross-functionally with the PR, media, and treasury teams to ensure seamless event execution. Hosted and emceed events, facilitating engaging programming and public speaking. Managed tight timelines and multiple responsibilities to ensure successful outcomes.
Co-founded the association to create an inclusive community for students interested in Taiwanese culture, regardless of language proficiency. Designed visually appealing promotional materials, including flyers and social media graphics, to effectively market events and initiatives. Contributed to the association’s growth by supporting outreach and fostering engagement through creative media strategies.
Coordinated and conducted 90+ interviews, streamlined recruitment processes with standardized rubrics, and developed social media strategies to expand applicant pools. Supported job postings, assisted the Talent Acquisition team, and handled confidential information with discretion.
