Hi! I am currently a sophomore at DePauw University, majoring in Education Studies and Communication with a minor in Mathematics. From a young age, I have been passionate about education as a path to create a more positive and impactful world. I am pursuing a career as an educator, using my voice to make impacts and help students succeed. At Vandy English Language Academy, I work as a student counselor and English tutor, where I provide students guidances in their academic journeys and assist them with with U.S. university applications. My goal is to ensure my students are well-prepared for their educational goals and futures. In addition to my academic and counseling roles, I am a Kid Mentor with College Mentor for Kids (CMFK) and an Event Coordinator for the Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) at DePauw, which are great opportunities to develop my mentoring, communication, and community-building skills. With my leadership, teaching, and counseling experiences, I am excited to contribute and create impactful learning opportunities for any organization I work with.
As a STEM Instructor at iD Tech, I teach hands-on engineering concepts through the CrunchLabs curriculum, helping students develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. I create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment by guiding students through project-based learning and interactive engineering challenges. I also collaborate with fellow instructors to ensure a safe, supportive, and memorable learning experience for every student.
I am a counselor providing guidance and assisting students navigating in the U.S. university application process. Additionally, I tutor students to improve English skills and prepare them for tests like IELTS and SAT.
As President of the Vietnamese Student Association (VSA), I lead the organization's strategic planning and oversee initiatives that promote Vietnamese culture, strengthen community engagement, and enhance student experiences. I collaborate with the executive board to organize cultural, social, and educational events, manage event logistics, and ensure successful execution. I also direct and coordinate cultural performances at major campus events, fostering cultural awareness and representing Vietnamese heritage within the university community.
