Prior to January 2017, Varex Imaging was part of Varian Medical Systems. Managed the mechanical design team across 4 US and international offices. Mechanical design of x-ray imaging components for various applications, including medical, veterinary, ruggedized and industrial imaging. Direct customer interface to launch new products and support existing install base.
New product R&D through conceptualization, specification, design, qualification, and release to volume production for x-ray imaging devices used in medical, veterinary, and industrial applications. Collaborates with diverse disciplines and component manufacturers. Electronics and sensor packaging for various device form factors including fixed installation, peripheral, and portable consumer grade products, with a focus on DFM, ease of assembly, ruggedization, ingress protection, ergonomics, aesthetics, and thermal management. In January 2017 Varian's Xray Products department was spun off as a separate company, Varex Imaging.
