Over ten years of experience in higher education, IB Education, Design Thinking, Innovation, and Arts. I am passionate about fostering holistic learning and self-knowledge among students and educators. As the Theory of Knowledge Coordinator, I oversee the coordination and execution of TOK assessments, syllabi, and assemblies for over 300 students, ensuring compliance with IB standards and best practices. As a Head of Visual Arts, I ensure my DP students align with the best approach to critical thinking and build a meaningful process and experimentation through their portfolio. I also leverage my expertise in design and psychology to develop engaging and innovative e-learning solutions. Additionally, I serve as an IBDP Examiner and Curriculum Developer, contributing to the quality and integrity of the IB assessment process and content. • Assessing DP Process Portfolios in English and Spanish for Higher Level Students. • Principal Examiner for Higher Level Process Portfolios in French. (April 2022) • Reporting to IB in order to improve Teaching and Learning.
• Overseeing the coordination and execution of TOK assessments, syllabus, and assemblies, ensuring compliance with IB standards for over 300 students spanning DP1 and DP2. • Supervising a dedicated team of 10 TOK educators, streamlining the curriculum and optimizing resources and guidelines for enhanced instructional delivery. • Upholding the integrity, authenticity, and structural coherence of the TOK syllabus across all DP student assessments, guaranteeing consistent alignment with IB expectations.
• Responsible for leading the Visual Arts team for MYP and DP, identifying critical improvement areas, and planning departmental actions to meet them. • Leading the overall development of the department and ensuring a focus on improving student outcomes and engagement. • Overviewing academic progress of more than 710 students active in Visual Arts MYP/DP and Media Studies. • Line-managing teachers/support staff in the department and promoting their professional development. • Ensuring that assessments, records, and reports are efficiently produced and recorded. • Supervising Visual Arts Extended Essay students. • Promoting communications of student work and providing exposure to activities and artistic development.
