Venia Stamatiadi was born in Athens. She is a graduate of the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts of France (Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique – class of 2015), the Drama School of the Art Theatre - Karolos Koun (2010), and the Department of Communication and Media Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2007). She works as an actress in France, Greece, and Cyprus, having collaborated, among others, with ERT, ANT1, the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, the National Theatre of Greece, the Art Theatre, the Kavala Municipal Theatre (DIPETHE), THOC, the Onassis Stegi, the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, the French Institute of Athens, Bookvoice, the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, Théâtre 95 Cergy-Pontoise, Théâtre de la Commune – Centre Dramatique National, and Espace des Arts – Scène Nationale de Chalon-sur-Saône. She has also been involved in writing, theatrical adaptation, and translating classical and contemporary plays from French to Greek. In 2021, she directed the multilingual immersive performance Lunch Break at Espace des Arts – Scène Nationale Chalon-sur-Saône. She is a founding member of the Greek theatre group " Pedio Technis"(Field of Art), which has focused on historical and political theatre for teenagers and adults, staging productions such as When the Sun... by George Saris, The Last Black Cat by Eugene Trivizas, Aller – retour, and Varosha 13 July by Alexandra Badea, under the collective title No Man's Land. From 2021 to 2023, 'Pedio Technis' was the Greek partner of the Creative Europe project Jeune Théâtre Européen Jeune Public, an initiative centered on research into multilingual theatre. As part of this project, Venia Stamatiadi wrote and starred in the production Borderline, directed by Eva Oikonomou-Vamvaka, which was presented as a showcase in June 2023 at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus. The company's upcoming project is the theatrical performance 'Birthland. Good girls don't talk about these things', a collaboration between Greece, France and Serbia, supported by the Greek Ministry of Culture and Teatroskop. It is scheduled to premiere in May 2025 at the PLYFA theater space. Finally, she serves as the artistic director of the festival A Festival in Samothrace, which is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the European Festival Funding for Emerging Artists (EFFEA). Its fourth edition is scheduled to take place in July 2025.
