At Hint I serve as the subject matter expert for payments, ensuring stability and scalability of mission-critical systems while continuing to ship new features. Our core tools are Ruby on Rails and Elm.
• As leader of the payments team, I owned projects from roadmap negotiation to design and deployment. • Proposed and managed project to deploy a component library which significantly improved development time for all front-end work • Developed and implemented new documentation processes for maintenance tasks, ultimately building a knowledge base to solve client issues • Championed software accessibility and served as an expert resource for teammates, including by holding regular office hours • Mentored junior developers, enabling them to rapidly ramp up and be successful

At Periscopic, I built data visualizations while also building the apps, APIs, and infrastructure that supported them. In this role deepened my specialization in the front-end. I developed mastery of a modern suite of tools and techniques for front-end web development: functional programming, React, TypeScript, ES6, Webpack, and many others.
