- Designed and scoped the organisation’s largest, most politically sensitive, challenging and complex transformation program (incorporating a time sensitive organisation-wide restructure, relocation to regional Victoria, building of new premises, redesigning HR practices (incl. capability, compensation and EVP), upgrading core technology and establishing a IT joint venture with WorkSafe; - C-suite role leading Transformation, People, Knowledge Management, Facilities and Legal Service Divisions; a team of 38 plus external consultants. Budget of AUD$76m; - Moved the culture from ‘survive’ to ‘thrive’ in 6 months; restoring client-patient outcomes, improving staff and union change engagement, and record level employee engagement (79%) at a time of intense uncertainty; - Led scoping and build of a new state-of-the-art premises ($40m) in Geelong.
Instrumental in build and delivery of the largest ($1.12 billion) and most ambitious major event in Melbourne's history, including delivery of a demanding, complex $54 million portfolio and 17,000 person Games-ready vibrant workforce servicing 40+ venues, 2 million spectators, 71 competing nations, 136 sporting events and 500 state-wide celebrations. Also direct impact on positive media coverage and public engagement, as well as record level ticket sales and legacy outcomes. Role encompassed strategic leadership, project design and management, KPI delivery, extensive stakeholder management (including sponsors, Federal, State and Local government), negotiation and management of service partnerships, management of a $54 million budget, risk and policy management, organisation design and team leadership - working with uncompromising project deadlines, KPIs, legacy and stakeholder demands, and tight budgets demanding resourcefulness, versatility and creative solution design. Led 7 divisions and a team of 233, accountable for: - workforce strategy and policy - organisation design, build and transformation - workforce branding, marketing, look (extending to uniforms) and media response management - workforce design and planning and scheduling - human resources (incl. mass exit and career transition) - volunteer management - workforce training, engagement and communications (including online) - uniform and apparel design - Games knowledge management (collation and transfer of ALL Games documents and learnings) - workforce operations and services including, catering, OHS and transport - facilities management - set up and operation of the Uniform and Accreditation Distribution Centre, Games Call Centre and Games HQ
