At the Greater Toledo Community Foundation I had the privilege of preparing long-range donor service plans in order to achieve the Foundation's strategic objectives. When implementing new fund management software, I had the privilege of serving on the Software Implementation Committee as well as the Process Improvement Committee where I recommended strategies to improve workflow, customer service and operational efficiency. I was charged with management of donor stewardship for existing fund holders and worked to increase the understanding of fund agreement terms, distribution policies and other questions as they arose. I ensured the successful transition of a newly developed fund by incorporating proper stewardship through the gathering of appropriate data and by doing personal follow-up. I assisted in the drafting and preparation of donor appeals and presentations. I also had the privilege of building and managing the Spark affinity group for next generation philanthropists in Toledo.
As Affiliate Administrator I took pride in making sure that the daily operations ran smoothly while working very close with the Executive Director and Board of Directors. I took the lead on phones as well as any correspondence entering or leaving the office. I managed the money coming in as well as the acknowledgements that went out. I processed the weekly invoices and made sure they were allocated to the proper departments. I lent my knowledge and strategy to the special events that were hosted as well as volunteered my time when called upon for extracurricular tasks.
