I’ve spent 20+ years at the intersection of capital markets and the energy sector — first as a deal-maker in ECM across London, Hong Kong and Singapore, then as a builder of energy transition businesses for ABN AMRO in Europe. My focus since 2012 has been energy: financing it, structuring it, and now actively shaping how banks and sector leaders deploy capital toward key transition dilemma's. As Head of New Energies & Infrastructure, I lead a pan-European strategy across a team of 35, authored ABN AMRO’s climate plans for O&G and Power clients, and built a portfolio approach focused on risk-adjusted returns in a rapidly evolving sector. What drives me is the combination of complexity and consequence in this space. Energy transition deals are hard — they involve regulatory risk, technology risk, counterparty risk, and political risk all at once. That’s exactly where deep sector experience and strong networks make the difference. I have particular interest in the convergence of traditional and new energy, infrastructure finance, and the role that (structured) capital plays in accelerating the transition.
