Brings both diverse administrative experience—senior leadership role at the then largest public sector employer in the world, Indian Railways—and direct university experience. Directly led a team of about 60 employees for Payroll, Retirement benefits, Labor Unions, etc. Working in their Managerial Cadre in charge of their large and powerful unions, developed strong inter-personal communication and problem-solving skills; learnt to appreciate the value of cooperation and conflict resolution mechanisms for any organization (helping in different administrative careers and culminating in Ph.D. dissertation); most recently, advocated for transboundary cooperation in environmental management. Diverse organizational management, academia, and research experience in international settings: Built key partnerships and collaborations with various agencies, including business, industrial, and government stakeholders. Successfully executed projects from inception and completion for international agencies, governments, and academic publication; effectively and accessibly conveying research findings. Deeply passionate about our environment: A thought-leader with research-focus in matters related to global climate change, communicating its impact, and changes required to deal with its devastating effects on our planet and on our daily lives; as innovation catalyst waged a sustained campaign over almost 25 years with presentations, blogs, and peer-reviewed articles to create consciousness and to make readers aware of the best and worst practices to protect and ameliorate our environment.
