Tracking performance • Currently, each tester spends on average more than an hour a week manually counting lines of code to measure engineers’ performance. I developed a tool that automates that process, thus saving time for thousands of testers in my company • Learned to utilize JGIT to automatically get multiple projects from Gitlab instead of manually accessing each project • Learned to use RevCommit and RevFilter to select commits according to the username and time period • Designed an algorithm to count changes made by each member in a specific time period and to automatically generate a report of these changes to an excel file Interactive conversion tool • Since my team’s testers need to frequently convert and write geographical data into different formats, I created an interactive tool that makes this task more efficient • Learned to use Java Swing such as JFrame, JComboBox, JButton to get inputs from user and to display the types of conversion available for that type of data input • Designed an algorithm to convert geographical data from one form to another
