•Interpret and evaluate physicians’ medication orders •Evaluate drugs prescribed by licensed individual practitioners for appropriateness of dose, therapeutic efficacy, drug interaction, and contraindications •Maintains accurate and complete documentation of all medicine-use-related activities to ensure appropriate distribution of medications •Counsel patients on current and new medications and the potential side effects •Working as part of a multidisciplinary team for planning proper medication regimen •Collaborate with provider offices and third party companies to determine an appropriate blood glucose-monitoring regimen for diabetic patients ▪Build profitable business and script growth through recommended clinical programs including appropriate immunization and when available Medication Therapy Management ▪Oversee the daily activities of the Pharmacy department while comply with all federal and state laws and regulations ▪Ensure excellent customer service by pharmacy associates ▪Provide leadership and development for associates by communicating career opportunities and providing effective feedback •Scheduling, training, educating pharmacists and technicians •Maintain adequate and up-to-date knowledge regarding drug/drug and drug/medical interactions ▪Handle and resolve customer issues, complaints and questions to build customer trust and loyalty •Educate and recommend over the counter pharmaceutical products to patients in appropriate situations ▪Prioritize pharmacy department tasks and follow through to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
