Healthagen Outcomes was founded in 2013 as a life sciences-facing analytics company inside the Aetna enterprise. Later named Healthagen, the company achieved rapid growth and profitability driving innovative work for pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostic and medical device companies. Healthagen conducted the first direct-to-patient clinical trial recruitment in the Aetna environment in 2013, established the first working value-based contract for Aetna Pharmacy, and conducted one of the most highly successful digital diagnostic trials ever in the atrial fibrillation space, among many other projects and innovations. Healthagen is the predecessor to CVS Clinical Trial Services and CVS Healthspire Life Sciences Solutions, which have continued its innovative work for well over a decade.
