I chose to intercalate into Business Management at Imperial College London a year ahead of the typical timeline — because I believe the next generation of healthcare leaders needs to understand both clinical medicine and how organisations, markets, and technology actually work. I'm a third-year medical student at Queen's University Belfast, simultaneously completing an intercalated BSc at Imperial. This dual path is deliberate. I want to operate at the intersection of medicine and strategy — in consulting, HealthTech, or MedTech — and I've spent the past two years building the evidence that I can. In 2025, I interned at Candesic, a boutique healthcare consulting firm, contributing primary research to a commercial due diligence project in the care home sector. I was selected for the HDR UK Black Internship Programme, where I worked on Parkinson's gait research using Python and motion capture data. I was also awarded 1 of 8 places from 130+ applicants to the MedTech Foundation Research Academy, where I'm currently contributing to a systematic review in cardiovascular HealthTech. Outside the research and consulting track, I served as President of QUB's African-Caribbean Society — inheriting a financially struggling organisation and delivering 700% revenue growth in a single year. As Social Media Officer for Melanin Medics, the UK's largest charity supporting Black medics, I quintupled the TikTok following and doubled attendance at the national Aspiring Medics Conference. In 2025–26, I was named Black Undergraduate of the Year by TargetJobs and Sky. This summer, I join IBM as a Business Strategy Intern and Sky as a Media/Commercial Finance Intern. I'm interested in opportunities at the intersection of medicine, strategy, and technology — healthcare consulting, HealthTech, digital transformation, AI in clinical settings, and the future of the NHS. If that's where you're building, I'd like to connect. 📩 [email protected]
