  • Sr Director Global Transportation at Teva Pharmaceuticals

    Led global primary distribution for Teva’s pharmaceutical supply chain, governing all international cross-border transportation flows across the manufacturing network. Responsible for transportation strategy and operational governance connecting 40+ manufacturing sites and more than 500 contract manufacturing partners to global markets.   • Executive Director International Logistics at Actavis

    Led the globalization and transformation of logistics operations during one of the most dynamic growth phases in the pharmaceutical industry. Between 2012 and 2015, Actavis expanded from approximately $5B to $28B in global revenue, driven by a series of major acquisitions including Watson Pharmaceuticals, Warner Chilcott, Forest Laboratories, Warner Chilcott and the landmark merger of the botox-maker Allergan. The rapid integration of these organizations required the creation of a scalable global logistics architecture capable of supporting a dramatically expanded international supply chain. Entering a largely greenfield logistics environment, I established the company’s first coordinated global logistics governance model, aligning manufacturing sites, markets, and global functions under a unified logistics strategy. Scope • Global governance of international freight and cross-border logistics • Coordination of more than 500 external manufacturing supply chains. • Logistics execution across international trading entities including the companies internal trading company (PTC). • Global customs and trade compliance frameworks • Strategic logistics initiatives and global transportation governance • Logistics talent recruitment and organizational buildup. Key Strategic Contributions Global Logistics Architecture Designed and implemented the company’s first integrated global logistics operating model, standardizing transportation and distribution governance across a rapidly expanding international network. 4PL Logistics Control Tower – Industry Pioneer Designed and orchestrated the beta version of the pharmaceutical industry’s first fully flexible 4PL logistics control tower, creating end-to-end visibility and centralized orchestration of global transportation flows. This model later became the foundation for the fully developed 4PL logistics architecture implemented at Teva, where it was further expanded under my leadership

    Led all logistics operations across Europe, representing approximately 70% of Teva’s global logistics volumes and transactions. Responsible for regional transportation networks, warehousing operations, customs and trade compliance, and market distribution across one of the company’s most complex and strategically important logistics regions. Scope • Leadership of a regional logistics organization of approximately 350 professionals • European transportation and warehousing networks • Customs and trade compliance across multiple markets • Last-mile pharmaceutical distribution and internal fleet operations • Governance of regional logistics infrastructure and performance Key Strategic Contributions Transformation of the Ulm Logistics Hub Led the transformation of Ulm into Teva’s largest global logistics hub, consolidating regional operations and significantly improving service reliability and network efficiency. European Network Optimization Directed the consolidation and closure of several logistics operations across the region, strengthening service levels while delivering substantial structural cost improvements. ⸻ Additional Leadership Mandate Managing Director – PTC Trading Company & Pharmapack Packaging Center Teva Pharmaceuticals 2016 – 2018 Held concurrent leadership responsibility for two specialized supply chain entities supporting international trade and packaging operations. Oversaw the PTC trading company, managing international pharmaceutical trading flows, and the Pharmapack packaging center, responsible for specialized packaging operations supporting global distribution.

  • Corporate Purchasing Manager at Össur hf

    Joined Össur during a period of rapid international expansion as the company evolved from a regional orthopedic manufacturer into one of the world’s leading prosthetics and orthotics companies with operations across EMEA, the United States, Asia and Mexico. Initially appointed Corporate Purchasing Manager, the role quickly expanded into broader global supply chain leadership responsibilities. Key responsibilities • Global strategic sourcing and procurement governance • Coordination of supply and demand planning across international manufacturing sites • Integration of planning with external manufacturing partners (CMOs) • Strategic oversight of logistics, distribution and warehouse operations • Establishment of structured Sales & Manufacturing Planning (S&OP / S&MP) processes Operating in what was largely a greenfield supply chain environment, I helped establish the company’s first coordinated global supply chain framework, introducing improved planning structures, modernized IT systems and significant optimization of logistics and workforce planning. These initiatives supported Össur’s rapid international expansion and the development of a more scalable global supply chain organization.

    Managed public procurement programs for the centralized purchasing authority of the Icelandic government, responsible for competitive bidding and contract awards across a wide range of public sector categories. Coordinated procurement processes between government institutions and private sector suppliers, ensuring transparent tendering, regulatory compliance and effective contract execution. Responsibilities included • Procurement governance and competitive tender processes for public sector purchasing • Strategic sourcing across multiple categories including IT equipment, office infrastructure, furniture and supplies • Coordination of procurement programs for state institutions, embassies and educational organizations • Oversight of tender processes for public infrastructure and construction projects, including school facilities and road development initiatives Responsible for structuring public tenders, managing supplier bidding processes and awarding contracts in accordance with national procurement regulations.

Penninn was Iceland’s leading company in office supplies, stationery and book retail, with a rapidly growing technology and office equipment segment. Responsible for supplier sourcing, product portfolio development and inventory planning across the company’s distribution network. Introduced and developed the company’s IT and technology supply segment, expanding the product offering and supporting the company’s commercial growth.
