Field Of Study: Electromagnetics, Field and wave with focus on Metasurfaces In Department of Electrical Engineering of Iran University of Science and Technology. Activities and Societies: Research Assistant Electromagnetic and Photonic Research Lab. Thesis: Design and fabrication of miniaturized patch antennas by employing metasurface superstrate. Investigation and extraction of effective constitutive parameters (Effective permittivity and permeability) of metasurfaces in Terahertz and Microwave frequencies. I was a member of a team contained Ph.D. and M.Sc. students working on plasmonic, metasurfaces, photonic, and antennas. I have worked on antennas, metamaterials, and designed high permittivity metasurface superstrates for designing small antennas. I also linked MATLAB code to the CST microwave studio. Therefore, leveraging Genetic Algorithm as the optimization unit of simulations, MATLAB is able to design effective antennas and metasurfaces for various purposes without human hand (about 800 lines MATLAB code). We think the integration of this method with characteristic modes, would be a great innovation in designing metasurfaces and antennas especially small on body antennas.
