Basic functions of the position: - Responsibility for the development and execution of the Plant Operational Excellence System, - Partner with operational teams to support the introduction of standardized processes, structured problem solving and lean methods, - Initiate, realise and coordinate Continuous Improvement-Projects, - Evaluate and implement actions to drive synergy effects across the operational teams, - Evaluate and analyse on a daily- /weekly basis KPI‘s and derive and follow-up on corrective measures by applying cascaded operation meetings, - Identify performance problems and determine potential and sustainable solutions proactively, - Collaborate closely with other European Westrock plants to determine and implement best practice solutions and create a strategic roadmap for continuous improvement
Basic functions of the position: - Established a lean culture for continuous improvement, - Implemented and developed further processes and systems such as a Production System, an OEE-improvement process, structured problem solving based on PDCA and a shop floor ticket system, - Implemented and developed further concepts to reduce manufacturing costs and lead time such as Value Stream, 5S, Standardized Work, Line Balancing, Kanban, TPM etc., - Ensured and audited the sustainability of implemented improvement initiatives, - Defined OEE-standards for plants in Italy and Germany, - Prepared and performed trainings and workshops for employees and various departments, - Supported on the definition of a MDA-/PDA-system to be ready for a MES and to build up an automated OEE-system.
Main responsibilities and achievements: - Lead, coordinated and carried out Lean Six Sigma projects to find and eliminate root causes and reduce systematically non-value-added activities (MUDA), - Developed and implemented concepts to reduce manufacturing cost and lead time, such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Standardized Work, Line Balancing, Kanban, Cell Design (U-Shape), One Piece Flow, Problem Solving etc., - Developed and tested a ‘Milk run’ based material supply system (Warehouse Management System) to supply demand-actuated production lines while reducing systematically stock levels and to utilize a standardized process, - Developed and implemented a production monitoring system based on the OEE approach to discover systematically loss of production time leading to improved performance, - Performed trainings for various departments.
