Competency Focused Two years experience in the field of agriculture has equipped me with a specialized skill set in the following areas: 1. Business development - Trained 600 youths from six Dzongkhags in business proposal development; actualization of their enterprises through funds disbursement to selected participants, and monitoring and evaluation of the established businesses including financial auditing 2. Agriculture and Horticulture - Collaborated with professionals to get an in-depth knowledge about technology involved in the cultivation of plants, pest management, and maintenance 3. Product Development - Led a team for proposal development, production of food products and value addition; presentation of the finished products to senior agriculture experts Currently I am studying Master of Science (Agriculture and Food Security) at the Curtin University to further improve my skill set and gain experience.
1. Planning and Project Management Developed production roadmap, and calendars; introduced improvements to existing produce in collaboration with the management team; generated ideas for improvements in performance and reduction of waste Led the program for production of horticulture and agriculture crops at the farm 2. Training of 600 youths across six Dzongkhags/districts in entrepreneurship, development and editing of business proposals, disbursing of funds, monitoring and evaluation.
Two months internship where the main focus was on post-harvest product development. Formulated proposal for potential products, and worked in a small team of four to develop products and add value to agricultural goods.
