The Netherlands Academy of Engineering (NAE) brings together leading engineers from academia and industry to strengthen the role of engineering in society and address major societal challenges. As a Young Engineer, I am part of a five-year cohort of early-career innovation leaders recognized for contributing innovative, design-driven, or constructive engineering solutions and for bringing fresh perspectives to knowledge and innovation. My specific interest within NAE is strengthening the educational pipeline and increasing engineering talent across all levels (MBO, HBO, WO).
I co-founded and am a shareholder in this (family) business. Currently represent the family shareholders with regards to strategic matters and have an advisory role. HU!D provides skincare treatments to face and body to enhance the appearance and skin quality of our clients. These treatments are being done by professional skin therapists.
Combining my passion for engineering and entrepreneurship and putting my skills to work as strategy consultant (on project basis). My main reason for doing this is to scout new opportunities and potential business models, preferably in the energy (storage) space, so that I can start my next (tech) company. -I am currently (2017-.....) working on a project related to synthetic fuels from renewable energy. If you are curious, just send me a message. // Update: this led to the start of ZEF B.V. - Zero Emission Fuels. -In 2016 I worked together with the great people of the Venture Generator on an exciting big project related to big data and machine learning in rail. The outcome was a new company built for a major Dutch contractor. (It’s a long story).
AquaBattery is the company behind the Blue Battery. We want to stop the use of toxic materials, such as the acids used to build conventional batteries. Those systems are obsolete and extremely damaging to the environment. We have developed an innovative product that stores electricity solely using water and table salt (the Blue Battery).
