Co-invented and composed a patent for AREVA's SABRE (Surface Access Borehole Resource Extraction) method. Technical specialist engineer for Innocorps Inc. regarding process engineering, data acquisition design, and heat transfer design. Published drilling and mining operations documented procedures, work instructions and forms. Finite Element Analysis on optimization of 3 phase air lift systems, heat exchangers and high pressure water jets. Electrical design lead for the development of an embedded downhole cavity dimensional survey system and in pipe high bandwidth communications to surface. Mechanical design lead for the reliability improvements on the mechanical top drive, mining pipes and bottom hole assembly for the AREVA SABRE system. Financial scoping study reviews on uranium ore bodies utilizing the SABRE method.
• Project Managed the SABRE (Surface Access Borehole Mining Resource Extraction) engineering & operations team of 7 direct reports with teams of contractors. • Managed projects with budgets in excess of $10 million/yr. • Performed project scheduling, cost control, composed contracts, and provided technical reporting and presentations to executive level audiences. • Written technical and financial preliminary feasibility studies on mining ore bodies.
• Aided in the design & fabrication of specialty Jet Boring System (JBS) mining tools. • Spearheaded the development of the electrical technology used in the measurement and transfer of cavity dimensional information through a specialty mining pipe utilizing powerline communications and ultrasonic transducers. • Aided in the design of the drilling tools and methodology.
• Lead engineer & project manager for the MED program a research & development program pursuing mechanical and electrical tooling though theory -> concept -> design - > fabrication with regards to mining methods for uranium borehole mining. • Design lead on the high pressure jet mining system, which includes technical implementation and design overview of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. • Field operations engineer during mine testing, managed and organized crews, defined job descriptions, hired personnel, and supervised the field operational execution.
Graduate from Halliburton’s 6 month Petroleum Engineering TEC (Technical Excellence Center) in Oklahoma. TEC is a world class learning center focused on applied oilfield services techniques. • Specialized in fracturing for reservoir optimization design, utilized rock mechanic theory and scientific data from hydrocarbon formations to increase production. • Onsite oilfield technical advisor, liaison between customer and Halliburton, technical report writing, problem solving and aiding in supervising and coordinating crews.
