I’m a Creative Leader, Art Director, and Illustrator based in Los Angeles, CA, specializing in consumer product design and brand storytelling. With over a decade in the creative industry, I’ve built a career rooted in illustration, art direction, and consumer products — blending narrative-driven thinking, design systems, and hands-on design sensibility to bring ideas into the real world and make an impact. I’m passionate about creating playful, product-driven work that feels intentional and expressive. Whether I’m developing illustration systems, designing for physical products, or shaping visual worlds for a brand, my focus is always on creating work that connects with consumers and lasts. I’ve collaborated with brands like Adobe, Wacom, Walmart, Vita Coco, POSCA, and StickerApp, helping bring ideas to life across products, packaging, and real-world experiences. That experience included working as an Art Director on Paramount’s global Consumer Products team, where I translated iconic IP into scalable, retail-ready design across packaging, style guides, and licensed products — collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to bring beloved characters into new formats and markets. Outside of industry work, I’m the creator of The Creative Pain — a personal brand and creative platform rooted in passion projects, process, and mentorship. What began as a creative outlet has grown into a space for products, education, and storytelling, focused on helping creatives develop their voice and turn ideas into opportunities. As an Adobe MAX speaker and educator, I share my process through talks, workshops, and tutorials centered on curiosity, experimentation, and building a sustainable creative career.
As the founder and lead creative of The Creative Pain, I partner with global brands and passionate teams to bring bold, expressive ideas to life. My work spans creative direction, branding, illustration, and social media campaigns—always rooted in storytelling and originality. I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with clients across industries, including Adobe, Wacom, POSCA, StickerApp, Universal Studios, Vita Coco, Krispy Kreme, The Black Keys, Jack White, and Paul McCartney, creating visuals that connect culture, creativity, and community. Highlights include: Leading creative direction and brand development for campaigns and products. Designing illustrations, packaging, and merchandising systems that elevate storytelling. Producing social media and experiential campaigns that drive engagement and brand affinity. Building long-term collaborations with global creative teams to deliver impactful work. Through The Creative Pain, I aim to transform ideas into meaningful experiences that inspire both brands and audiences.
As an Art Director on the Consumer Products creative team at Paramount, I led the visual development and design execution across global Nickelodeon franchises such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Garfield, and more. I helped build comprehensive design systems and style guides that translated the heart of each IP into compelling consumer product experiences. My role balanced high-level creative strategy with hands-on execution—partnering closely with showrunners, filmmakers, content creators, and cross-functional teams to develop artwork for CP core programs, theatrical campaigns, and gaming initiatives. I provided creative direction to external agencies and internal design partners while also creating original assets to fast-track deliverables and manage production timelines. Key responsibilities included: Leading creative development for global CP guides, campaign toolkits, and brand design systems Onboarding and art directing external agencies, studios, and freelance artists Collaborating across editorial, character art, retail, and franchise strategy teams to build cohesive visual narratives Contributing hands-on design to support speed, clarity, and budgetary needs Helping maintain the integrity and growth of Nickelodeon’s legacy and new IPs through intentional, brand-authentic design This role required a deep understanding of entertainment branding, storytelling through design, and cross-platform creative leadership.
As a contracted illustrator, I worked on creating mood boards, concept sketches, and illustrative artwork for a major motion picture style guide.
As a graphic designer and illustrator for Killer Visuals, I worked alongside a team of creative to help led and develop visual graphics, illustrations, storyboards, icon design, and website design for various brands including Amazon, Microsoft, Sophora, Johnson and Johnson.
