Tasked in January 2021 to take Cubist Business Team (QBIZ) "above the wall" rebranded as the Point72 Business Acceleration Team (BAT) to broaden QBIZ firm-wide contribution. • Retained most Cubist COO responsibilities as did QBIZ including Cubist PM onboard/launch/cover, broker negotiations/data/relationship management, and running BIDS Alpha Capture program. • Serve as member of New Activities Working Group, a small senior group including Point72 COO, CTO, GC/CCO, CAO, Chief Risk Officer, and Head of Investor Relations. • Created and chair the New Instrument Working Group with representatives across all departmental stakeholders. The New Instruments WG reviews and approves trading that's new to the firm. • Partner with firm-wide Senior Leadership on digital asset strategy, readiness, due diligence, and launch. • Share a variety of business processes, institutional knowledge, and project management experience above the wall resulting in BAT partnering with Macro Business Manager on PM onboarding and launches, and, BAT Broker Data team leading firm-wide broker data initiatives and relationship management. • Launched Macro Working Group which is a partnership with BAT and Discretionary Macro management to identify needs and scale firm-wide infrastructure to support Point72's growing Discretionary Macro business across Risk, Operations, Treasury, Valuations, Technology, Trading, Legal, Tax, and Talent.
Senior leader of quantitative investment affiliate of Point72 which systematically trades global liquid instruments including equities, futures, and foreign exchange for multi-billion-dollar firm. Responsibilities included: counterparty negotiations, onboarding portfolio managers, broker relations, strategy, product launches, process improvements, project management, and data sourcing with 3 direct reports and 9 indirect reports. • Executed a rapid growth strategy going from 50 to over 300 employees and from 10 to over 40 portfolio manager teams across six global offices. • Directed the onboarding of many new portfolio managers.
