1. Manage all Plant warehouse logistics daily activities via 18 Locations on MFG-PRO system. Also in line with AMS Requirements. 2. Manage Sewing Planning and Production sequencing for Seat JIT plant 3. Manage material supply (KAN-BAN) for both Trim plant and Seat JIT Plant, 4. Manage flow of inbound Transport for both imported material via PE Cross-docking process 5. Manage all local suppliers transportation to our plant VIA milk runs scheduling ( Order daily Manifestations with local supplier - weekly horizon view) 6. Manage outbound Transport scheduling as per hourly deliveries BMW Plant as per call -offs. 7. Manage Logistics department cost versus budget (including plant freight costs) 8. Manages all claims and charges to suppliers due to inaccurate deliveries 9. Manages Logistics staff for all shifts patterns and schedule training plans accordingly 10. Manages Capacity planning based on sold capacity vs BMW Demand patterns weekly via KAPMS system. Further training of Local suppliers and manage each supplier constraint via KAPMS system. 11. Manages validations of Bill of Materials accuracy from BMW at Plant detail level.
Manages the following, 1. Material and Production Planning for the plant 2. Represent manufacturing in Volvo group cross functional SOP planning for UD Brand. 3. Manages both local material suppliers (37) and overseas material suppliers (Japan, Thailand, France, Sweden) 4. Work as a link between Sales planning and Plant production planning 4. Coordinates imported shipment arrivals and inland transport planning from Harbour 5. Internal Plant warehouse activities from receiving to manufacturing parts supplies, Supply facilities/ Equipment, 6. Represent company management in Union discussions forum 7. Work on continuous Volvo Group Global Logistics projects representing Volvo Group truck Division (UD Trucks) in South Africa. 8. Travel overseas as the job requires
I was then promoted to Logistics Manager towards end of 2011
