About

My journey into the technology realm began at the age of nine with the Amiga 500. The acquisition of a 2400bps modem soon after exposed me to the fascinating world of connectivity with BBS' and later the internet. In my early teens I was immersed into the world of 'Quake' and the LAN parties sparked a lifelong passion for gaming, Interconnection and technology. By the late '90s, as I stepped into the professional world, and was very fortunate to begin my career at UUNET, which catapulted me into the global internet sphere. Now with over 25 years in the technology sector, this early exposure has been instrumental in shaping my career for which i have my parents to thank for. I've collaborated with a diverse array of amazing companies and people, both in Australia and internationally, assisting in establishing their infrastructure and interconnection business models within Australia. My unique career trajectory offers an end-to-end perspective on technology and innovation. Starting as an Internet engineer and transitioning into the business side, where I have a comprehensive view of the industry's evolution. I feel immensely grateful for my career journey and where it has led me. To me, my profession has never felt like a mere job; it's a seamless extension of the passion for technology that was ignited in my early childhood. Currently, my focus is intensely centered on Artificial Intelligence. I am deeply captivated by its role in the innovation landscape and the profound ways it is transforming our business, our customers and our world.

  • Network Engineer at Activ Australia
    2003 - 2007 · 4 yrs

I joined a small Managed Service Provider to sharpen my technical skills, willingly accepting a pay cut for the chance to grow within a dynamic environment that honed a versatile skillset, including network design, implementation, and support. Bolstered by Cisco CCNA and CCNP certifications. Though technically demanding, the role proved deeply rewarding, and in mid-2006, I seized an opportunity to step up when the Solutions Architect took a three-month leave, supporting a struggling sales team with innovative network solutions—blending creativity with technical expertise to design, deploy, and configure routers, firewalls, and VPNs tailored to unique client needs. That experience, where I monitored performance, ensured security compliance, and crafted out-of-the-box approaches to minimize downtime, ignited a passion for problem-solving and client impact, steering my career toward a new trajectory.
