Junior Jackets Robotics is a 501c3 organization that was established in 2016 to help teach S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education through the designing, building and programming of robots. We are an after school program that is primarily made up of students from 6th-8th grade. Junior Jacket Robotics currently has 5 competitive VEX IQ teams. Our program gives students the opportunity to get excited and be inspired by hands-on S.T.E.M. learning through VEX robotics. The teams also compete at a number of Midwest tournaments through out the school year. You can see this years competition game for VEX IQ below.
The Council Bluffs Community School District is governed by a seven-member Board of Education. Members are elected to serve staggered terms of four years and serve without compensation. The Board’s basic function is policy making. The members direct the goal setting procedure of the District, set priorities for the administration, and attend school events throughout the school year.
