Coordinated all Faurecia Excellence System and Productivity activities at Plant level in a high-velocity (>60 production lines), high-complexity (>19 customers), high-growth setup (1 launch every 6 weeks on average). Member of the Plant Management Team (CODIR). Direct manager of 4 engineers and 8 technicians.
First time I really felt I got introduced to Lean Thinking. Achievements included saving over 6M US$ of inventory, while dividing the amount of line stoppages by over 2, in just 4 months (instead of a year) by understanding how Material Planners ordered materials by sitting with them, and understanding their misconceptions. Decentralized problem-solving did the rest.
Implemented a new end-to-end Lean Supply Chain in only 12 months. Achievements included dividing the amount of line stoppages due to missing components by over 10 while dividing inventory by over 2 with Kanban Pull System, Obeya, Visual Management and Problem-solving.
Coordinated Lean activities in one of the plant's business units. Achievements included dividing the die exchange time by 6 in only two months with SMED.
